St. Camillus Centre for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children

The Centre in the Mohale’s Hoek district has grown under the dedicated leadership of Sister Juliana Manele since 2003. Originally established as a village-based home care program for HIV/AIDS patients, it has since evolved into a temporary home for vulnerable children who are both infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

The Lesotho Connection (TLC) helps fund the day-to-day care of children residing at the Centre, as well as those living with foster families in the surrounding community.

The Centre’s mission is to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment while working toward the reunification of children with their families. Funding supports vital needs such as food, clothing, school fees, and the round-the-clock care provided by matrons.

TLC has played a key role in successfully reunifying many children with their families. The Centre offers temporary care for families in crisis and continues to serve as a safe and loving home, made possible by generous donations.

Our commitment is to support children in the Mohale’s Hoek district who have nowhere else to turn. The need is great—driven by economic hardship, health challenges, and a lack of other social services—but so is the hope we provide through your support.
